302 Days from Stealth to the Largest Cybersecurity Series A in History

Written by Lior Div | Dec 4, 2025 12:42:04 PM

Today we announced that 7AI has raised a $130 million Series A, the largest cybersecurity A round in history.

That's the headline. But headlines don't tell the whole story.

302 days ago, we launched from stealth with a belief that sounded almost reckless: that AI agents could do the repetitive security work that burns out defenders and buries teams in false positives. That they could do it faster, more accurately, and more consistently than any human or any automation that came before.

We had conviction. What we didn't have was proof.

Today, we have proof. And this announcement is really about what that proof means for our customers, our team, and the future of security operations.

Yonatan and I sat down for a special edition of the Do Human Work podcast to talk about what this moment means. Give it a watch:

Why This Round Matters

Let's be direct about something: raising money isn't an accomplishment. It's a responsibility.

The $130 million we announced today, led by Index Ventures with Blackstone joining as a new investor alongside Greylock, CRV, and Spark, represents something specific: the belief that we've reached an inflection point from "AI could work" to "AI is working."

In our press release, I put it this way:

"There's a fundamental flaw in how we've approached security operations for the past two decades. We keep adding more people and detection tools to handle exponentially increasing threats and alerts. The math just doesn't work. We're changing the equation entirely."

That change isn't theoretical. It's happening right now, in production, at Fortune 500 scale.

The Numbers That Actually Matter

In 302 days, 7AI agents have processed more than 2.5 million alerts and completed over 650,000 security investigations. Customers report cutting investigation times from hours to minutes and eliminating up to 95-99% of false positives. DXC Technology deployed the world's largest agentic security operation in just eight weeks.

These aren't projections. These aren't pilot results. This is what's happening today in some of the most demanding security environments on the planet.

Shardul Shah from Index Ventures captured why this matters:

"7AI is the clear leader in agentic security. Fortune 500 customers are experiencing measurable results at scale within weeks of adopting the solution."

To Our Customers: Thank You for Trusting Us

Building something new requires someone willing to go first. Our customers didn't just buy software. They bet on a fundamentally different way of doing security operations. They invited us into their environments, challenged our technology, and pushed us to deliver outcomes that actually matter.

Adam Fletcher, Chief Security Officer of Blackstone, described the partnership:

"7AI is helping us fundamentally reimagine how security operations function at scale. Throughout our design partnership, we have been consistently impressed by the 7AI team's commitment to product innovation as well as their pace and quality of execution. We are excited to deepen our collaboration by joining this round as an investor."

To every security leader who took a chance on us: this round is as much yours as it is ours. You proved it works. You showed the world what's possible.

To Our Team: This Is What We Built Together

Every person at 7AI has contributed to this moment. The engineers who solved problems that seemed impossible. The AI security engineers who proved our technology in the most demanding environments. The team members who joined when we were an idea and stayed as we became something real.

Raul Fernandez, President and CEO of DXC Technology, described our work together:

"What impressed us about 7AI was the speed. We went from first conversation to the world's largest agentic security deployment in just eight weeks. That's a staggering timeline for a global deployment of this complexity."

That doesn't happen because of technology alone. It happens because of people who refuse to accept that something can't be done.

What This Funding Is Actually For

We've been ruthlessly focused on proving the technology works before scaling ourselves. As I said in our announcement: "Most companies do it backwards. They raise huge rounds, scale fast, then hope the technology catches up. We inverted that. We proved it first."

Now we're ready to grow. We're expanding our AI Security Engineering and go-to-market teams. We're deepening our channel partnerships. We're working with federal agency partners for 2026. We're building toward a future where AI agents collapse the entire security operations stack into something fundamentally more effective.

But we're doing it all with one advantage: we're already proven in production.

The Beginning

Here's what I want everyone at 7AI to understand: today isn't a finish line. It's a starting gun.

We've proven AI agents can transform security operations. Now we have to deliver that transformation to every organization that needs it. We have to keep earning the trust of our customers every single day. We have to build the company and the culture worthy of this opportunity.

For prospective customers: if you're drowning in alerts, burning out analysts, and wondering if there's a better way, there is. We'd love to show you what's possible in your environment.

For prospective team members: we're hiring aggressively across engineering, sales, product, and marketing. If you want to be part of building something that matters, in a category that's defining the future of cybersecurity, come talk to us.

And for everyone watching this space: agentic security isn't a future state. It's here. It's working. And we're just getting started.
