Eighteen months from launch to leader, 7AI's placement validates what happens when AI becomes the foundation for security operations.
When 7AI came out of stealth, it was with a simple conviction that security teams couldn’t meet the next generation of attacks by putting more software in front of humans and asking those humans to work faster; it wasn’t going to hold.
The operating model itself became the constraint. Every new system generated more alerts, logs, and telemetry, all eventually landing on the same people to separate signal from noise. Adding AI to individual products just made the bottleneck faster.
So 7AI was built with AI as the foundation. AI does the work with humans directing the defense.
We’re proud that 7AI has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Standalone AI SOC Platforms 2026 Vendor Assessment, and are grateful to the customers who put 7AI into production early and held it to a high bar. The placement reflects what 7AI has focused on from the start. Teams shouldn’t have to choose between fast and thorough. 7AI works within the stack teams already own, allowing them to run their way.
Stop choosing between fast and thorough
Most security teams have been forced into a trade. Move fast and accept that some alerts never get a real look, or investigate thoroughly and watch the queue grow.
7AI is built so that trade goes away. Every alert is triaged to a conclusion. Every verdict cites evidence pulled directly from the systems the agents queried, linked back to its source. When the evidence isn't there, agents escalate instead of guessing. Any practitioner can open an investigation and see what was checked, what was found and why it closed the way it did.
That's the standard every buyer should hold AI to. Not a summary to take on faith, but a record anyone can read.
Since February 2025, the 7AI platform has processed more than 14 million alerts and saved 2,077,757 analyst hours, nearly 1,038 full-time analyst-years, reclaiming $119.3 million in SOC productivity.
At DXC Technology, the trade went away on a global scale.
"Right off the bat we've seen an 80% reduction in Tier 1 analyst time. As those tickets progressed through the funnel, we've seen easily a 95-99% reduction in the tickets that human beings have to look at." Mike Baker, CISO, DXC Technology
The AI and the people
AI handles the volume. Practitioners handle the judgment. Every 7AI account includes a dedicated PLAID (People-led, AI-driven) AI Security Engineer who tunes the agents to that environment and keeps outcomes improving over time. For teams that want more, PLAID ELITE, 7AI's team of senior security practitioners, provides 24/7 Managed Detection & Response on the same platform.
The point isn't fewer practitioners. It's different work for the ones already there. At Abacus Insights, the team didn't shrink. It shifted.
"What drew me to 7AI was the vision that AI agents could handle the 'run' work, the endless alert triage, so my team could focus on 'grow and transform' work. Since implementing 7AI, we've changed how our security team operates, with people spending their time on strategic work instead of sorting through noise." Bill Brown, CISO & CIO, Abacus Insights
On your stack
7AI doesn't ask anyone to rip and replace. There's no new endpoint sensor to roll out. Agents connect to the SIEM, EDR, identity, cloud and email tools a team already runs, and new connectors are typically built in days. With 7AI Federated SIEM, detection and investigation run on data wherever it lives, including in the customer's existing SIEM. Teams can bring their own detection rules or use a 7AI-maintained catalog, and Detection Optimization recommends tuning changes for the team to approve.
The logic is the team's own, too. Skills let teams teach agents how their environment actually works, in plain language, so tribal knowledge stops living in a few heads.
"The proof is in the pudding, it doesn't take very long. Within the first few weeks, you're going to know. This isn't an ERP implementation." Jason Thomas, CIO, Cole, Scott & Kissane
Run your way
Teams can run 7AI themselves, entrust it to PLAID ELITE, or both. With 7AI, customers and partners can create their own agentic workflows and services on top.
Autonomy is the team's call. Teams decide which response actions run automatically, which require confirmation and which are skipped, and every action is recorded. Trust gets earned one risk tier at a time.
A 4,000-person law firm replaced its MDR this way. It started with every decision requiring sign-off, opened up automation tier by tier, and now has 86% of alerts handled without a human touch, giving the team two to three hours a day back. At BigID, which also moved off its MDR, investigations are completed in an average of 5 minutes 20 seconds, and on alerts that involved human analysts, 7AI outpaced the prior provider by about 47 minutes.
The platform underneath is independently attested. 7AI holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 42001:2023, the standard for AI management systems.
It runs multi-region on AWS with multi-LLM failover, so a single model provider's outage doesn't stop investigations, and customer data is never used to train models.
The foundation for AI that Defends
IDC calls this market standalone AI SOC platforms. We think the architectural shift underway goes further.
The SOC has spent decades accumulating tools. Those tools detect things, generate signals and hand work to people. Adding a chatbot or an AI feature to that model does not change its foundation.
That is AI that Defends: autonomous in execution, human in direction.
There is much more to build. Eighteen months in, we are moving faster than ever.
