Two weeks ago, Black Hat returned to Las Vegas, drawing over 20,000 cybersecurity professionals from across the globe – and we knew this was the moment to make our mark. This year also marked our official market launch, so we decided to go big. Really big.
From the very beginning, our goal was to stand out – to create an experience that felt different from the typical show floor chaos. We wanted a space that invited real conversations, fostered genuine connections, and reflected the energy and innovation we bring to security. And judging by the buzz (which we’re still feeling), it worked.
The booth was alive with energy from start to finish, packed with amazing interactions with customers, prospects, and partners. Our team was all in – every handshake, every conversation, every demo fueled by the excitement of showing up in a bold, unforgettable way.
As one attendee put it:
“Your booth is so inviting and calming. It feels like a little oasis away from the craziness of the show floor. It really stands out from the other vendors…Sometimes you just need a spot where you can have a real conversation.”
Another crowd favorite was our “Dare to Reimagine Yourself” wall, where attendees could step into the spotlight and design their own custom magazine covers. It was incredible to see the creativity and excitement this sparked – people shared their covers with colleagues, posted them on social media, and even brought friends back to make their own. What began as a fun, interactive element turned into a true conversation starter.
We couldn’t have asked for better feedback, and we’re grateful to everyone who stopped by to connect, share insights, and explore the future of security with us.
Spotlight on Sessions and Conversations
The Rise of the Chief Innovation Security Officer
Our session, The Rise of the Chief Innovation Security Officer: How AI in Security is Changing Our Approach to Security Operations, featured Travis Farral, CISO of Archaea Energy, and Kyle Kurdziolek, VP of Security at BigID. The discussion covered how AI is reshaping the security landscape and what forward-thinking leaders can do today to prepare for tomorrow.
Two notable quotes from the session:
“When things worked, it was great – but when something broke, about 30% of the time it was a tech issue and 70% a human one. I wish I’d had technology like 7AI back then; it could have solved huge quality and consistency problems, letting us handle more than 10x the workload. Honestly, I was skeptical at first, but once we started using 7AI, I realized we couldn’t turn it off. We’re addicted to it. We’re so much more efficient with this." – Travis
“I look at some of my team members and say, “What's the one thing you’d love to never see again in your job – what's the one problem that you completely want to get rid of, but do it in a way that is effective?” Agentic AI is definitely one of the answers to that problem. So let's workshop this to make that a full-fledged production workflow, where essentially you’re just ensuring that the workflow is doing what it's supposed to be doing. And, like I said, when I'm looking at the AI versus human problem, it's not AI replacing humans – it’s meant to 10x the capacity of your existing team to continue and possibly mature your security program at a much faster pace than you expect it to be” – Kyle
Although these moments don’t capture the full depth of Travis and Kyle’s insights, you can dive deeper into the topic by exploring our eBook: The Rise of the Chief Innovation Security Officer. It expands on the trends, challenges, and opportunities they discussed, offering a look at how AI is transforming security operations.
A huge thank you to Travis and Kyle for joining us on stage and sharing their expertise with the Black Hat audience.
Podcast Recordings in the 7AI Suite
We also hosted exclusive podcast recordings during the week. Stay tuned for upcoming episodes featuring Kyle Kurdziolek and Jason Thomas, CISO of Cole Scott Kissane – both sharing unfiltered perspectives on AI and the evolution of security operations.
In the meantime, you can explore our existing library of episodes on the 7AI Podcast, where we’ve already featured in-depth discussions with security leaders from across the industry.
Unforgettable Events & Experiences
GuidePoint Security Party
The week kicked off in style with an incredible turnout at the GuidePoint party. It was the perfect opportunity to connect with our strategic partner, catch up with familiar faces, and meet new ones before the conference whirlwind began.
A huge thank you to GuidePoint Security for letting us take part in such a great event. We’re looking forward to continuing to build on this momentum and strengthening our partnership in the months ahead.
Greylock CXO Networking Event
Our investor, Greylock, put on a fantastic CXO networking event that brought together a select group of CISOs and CIOs to discuss emerging trends in security. The conversations had a strong focus on agentic security and how leaders can effectively integrate AI into their operations.
The level of interest and engagement throughout the evening reinforced that AI-driven security is no longer just a concept – it’s a necessity. A big thank you to Greylock for inviting us to be part of such a high-caliber gathering.
Security Innovators Dinner at Ito
With our Security Innovators Dinner series, Black Hat made the perfect stage for our next event – gathering some of the brightest minds and CISOs in the industry under one roof. Echoing the spirit of our "on the road" gatherings, this evening was designed as much for exploration as for conversation – an intimate, hidden gem echoing the exclusive omakase experiences we've crafted before.
Set against the refined backdrop of Ito’s immersive omakase, attendees were welcomed into a space that felt like stepping through a subtle doorway into something truly special. Over thoughtfully curated dishes and impeccable sushi, the atmosphere mirrored the transformational potential we see in agentic security: innovative, human-centered, and built to create lasting impact.
One attendee captured the sentiment perfectly:
“A huge thank you for the amazing dinner – I think that’s the best dinner I’ve ever had in Vegas, and I’ve been to Joël Robuchon and others. I’ll remember this for a very long time!”
This wasn’t just another dinner. It was a moment to slow down, connect deeply, and explore the future of AI-powered security together – just as our earlier events did, and with the same spirit of discovery.
Looking Ahead
Black Hat reminded us why we love this community: the exchange of ideas, the willingness to innovate, and the connections that fuel progress. We’re already looking forward to next year – and to continuing these conversations in the months ahead.
If you joined us at Black Hat, thank you. If we missed you this time, let’s make it happen soon. Schedule a meeting with the 7AI team here.
