We recently posted on LinkedIn that we are looking for our 1st sales leader at 7AI.
In the past, cybersecurity companies would approach their go to market in a slow, measured, paint-by-number way:
- Spend a year building an MVP.
- Approach "friends and family" to try the MVP, get feedback, then go back to the R&D team and spend another 6 months polishing the product.
- Make a big splash coming out of stealth, then hope that customers knock down their door begging to buy their innovative new cyber thing.
- Hear the sound of crickets when that doesn't happen, then panic and hire a sales team.
Those days are over. The combination of the speed of innovation, the appetite for security teams to become exponentially better at responding to threats, and the expectation that AI can deliver value quickly has fundamentally changed the way we go to market.
What We're Looking For at 7AI
We've talked with more than 100 security leaders while building our agentic security platform, and we hear the same thing: teams are already struggling to keep up with the volume of alerts from detection systems. Attackers have already started leveraging AI to increase the volume and sophistication of their attacks. Hiring more people and adding new point solutions may make teams incrementally better, but that's just not good enough. There has to be a better way.
It's rare to see the future, but these trends are a sign of an obvious, inevitable future. And that future looks completely different from the way we've traditionally approached applying technology to cybersecurity. And that brings us to you. The right candidate for this role will:
- Create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve ambitious growth targets.
- Proactively identify and engage potential clients through various outreach methods, leveraging your network and creativity.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and effective conversion strategies.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to align efforts and enhance customer experiences.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor your sales performance and refine strategies for optimal results.
- As the business scales, identify opportunities to recruit and develop a high-performing sales team.

7+ years of sales experience, preferably in startup environments, with a proven track record of scaling revenue.
-
Experience in Cybersecurity required
-
Demonstrated ability to grow ARR from 0 to significant milestones in a short timeframe.
