Last week, we did something that perfectly captures what 7AI is really about: we stepped away from our day-to-day work and focused entirely on creating something new.
For three days, every person at 7AI—engineers, product managers, designers, security experts, sales, marketing, everyone—formed teams and tackled projects with one simple mandate: think big, build fast, and solve real problems.
What Happens When You Remove the Noise
The results were remarkable. Teams didn't just iterate on existing features or polish what we already had. They reimagined possibilities. They built solutions for problems customers mentioned once in passing. They created tools that could transform how security teams work entirely.
Three categories emerged:
- Biggest Impact: Projects that could fundamentally change how 7AI adds value
- Customer Obsession: Solutions born directly from customer feedback and requests
- Thinking Outside the Box: Ideas that completely broke free from current constraints
But here's what struck us most: when creative people are given space and time to focus on new ideas, they create things that genuinely matter.
The Mirror Effect
This is exactly what we see with our customers.
Security teams spend most of their time reacting—to alerts, false positives, investigations that lead nowhere. They're brilliant people doing work that doesn't leverage their intelligence. It's like watching a Formula 1 driver stuck in traffic.
But when 7AI's agents handle the reactive work—the triage, the enrichment, the obvious investigations—something remarkable happens. Those same analysts start threat hunting. They build better detection rules. They collaborate across teams. They focus on the strategic work that actually protects the organization.
They do human work.
Innovation Requires Space
The best ideas don't come from grinding harder on the same problems. They come from having the mental space to see problems differently.
During our hackathon, teams had uninterrupted time to think, experiment, and build. The quality of thinking—and the ambition of the solutions—reflected that focus.
This is the same transformation we enable for security teams. When you're not buried under alert volume, when you're not spending 2 hours investigating something an AI agent can resolve in minutes, you have capacity for the work that makes a difference.
Beyond Tools
Many companies in cybersecurity are building better hammers. We're asking a different question: what if you didn't need to hammer at all?
Our hackathon reinforced something fundamental about how we approach problems. We're not trying to make analysts faster at manual work—we're trying to eliminate the manual work entirely. We're not building copilots to help people write better playbooks—we're building agents that make playbooks unnecessary.
The goal isn't efficiency. It's transformation.
What This Says About 7AI
The energy in the room during those three days was infectious. People were excited, focused, collaborative. They were solving problems that mattered, building things they believed in, and pushing boundaries.
That's the environment we've created here. And it's the same environment we help our customers create for their security teams.
When work is purposeful instead of reactive, when people can focus on outcomes instead of overhead, when human intelligence is applied to human problems—that's when the magic happens.
